We've known since the summer that many stores will remain closed on Thanksgiving Day, but that didn't answer all of our questions about what's going to happen on Black Friday (Nov. 26).
With concerns about supply chain and shipping issues, shoppers are wondering what the Biggest Shopping Day of the Year will be like this year. To help answer this question, we've been compiling information about what you can expect from your favorite Black Friday retailers in 2021.

Bed Bath & Beyond 2021 plans
Bed Bath & Beyond joined the list of stores that will be keeping their doors closed on Thanksgiving Day, allowing their employees to spend time with their families.
Best Buy Black Friday 2021 plans
Like many of our favorite retailers, Best Buy will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. However, this retail giant will offer online shopping on Turkey Day.
On Oct. 14, Best Buy revealed its plans for a week of Black Friday sales, starting on Nov. 19. And leading up to that is a four-day pre-Black Friday sale, kicking off on Oct.19. Here we broke down all the details surrounding this deal announcement.

Big Lots Black Friday 2021 plans
Big Lots will have a series of deals on and around Black Friday. First, this retailer offers toy and home good deals on Thanksgiving Day from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Then, you can shop Big Lots three-day deals from Black Friday (Nov. 26) through Nov. 28.
You'll find discounts throughout the store and have additional opportunities to save if you're a Big Rewards Member (think 15% off). You can also get $10 in Big Bucks for every $100 you spend.
Costco's Black Friday 2021 plans
Costco members will not be surprised to hear that the membership warehouse retailer will be closed for Thanksgiving Day 2021 (as it closes every year on Turkey Day).
This retailer is spreading out the Black Friday savings throughout the month of November. In fact, the Costco Black Friday ad lists four different sales.
- Online and warehouse savings: Nov. 1 through Nov. 14
- Online and warehouse savings: Nov. 15 through Nov. 29
- Online-only savings: Nov. 25
- Online and warehouse savings: Nov. 26 through Nov. 29
You'll want to pay close attention to the ad to make sure you're shopping when the deals you want will be available.
Home Depot Black Friday 2021 plans
Home Depot's Black Friday sale starts on Nov. 14 and runs until Dec. 1. Deals are available in-store and online, with stores closed on Thanksgiving Day.
JCPenney Black Friday 2021 plans
JCPenney will run its Black Friday sale both online and in stores from Nov. 26 (Black Friday) to Nov. 28. You'll want to set an alarm because the doors to JCPenney stores will open at 5 a.m. on Black Friday.
During this three-day event, you'll find deep discounts on items from every department of the store. In addition, you can save even more on select products, with the JCPenney's $15 Rewards program and mail-in rebates.
Kohl's Black Friday 2021 plans
This is the second year in a row that Kohl's will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, as the retailer says it received a great response when it did so in 2020. As a result, the Kohl's Black Friday sale will run online and in stores from Sunday, Nov. 21 through Black Friday, Nov. 26.
The ad includes discounts on everything from winter apparel and holiday decor to Amazon tech products and popular small kitchen appliances.
Macy's Black Friday 2021 plans
Macy's announced that it plans to kick off its Black Friday deals on Tuesday, Nov. 23. You can plan to shop these bargains online, in stores and on the Macy's app.
When the Macy's Black Friday ad came out, we saw that the retailer's Black Friday deals would go live on Tuesday, Nov. 23 and run through Saturday, Nov. 27. If you're wanting to shop in-person on Black Friday at Macy's, set an alarm because the doors open at 6 a.m.
Nordstrom Black Friday 2021 plans
Nordstrom will be offering in-store and online Black Friday deals starting on Friday, Nov. 26.
Sam's Club Black Friday 2021 plans
On Oct. 20, Sam's Club revealed it's Black Friday and Cyber Monday plans. The Sam's Club Black Friday ad scan advertises that the sale will start on Thursday, Nov. 25 (Thanksgiving). The retailer will be closed for Thanksgiving Day, so the sale will be online-only to start. The sale ends on Sunday, Nov. 28.
As for the Sam's Club Cyber Monday ad scan, you can shop for those deals from Nov. 29 through Nov. 30.
Target Black Friday 2021 plans
Target found that its employees and guests enjoyed having the stores closed on Thanksgiving Day, so it's doing it again in 2021. However, you'll still be able to shop online on Turkey Day.
On Oct. 10, Target launched its holiday price match policy. This policy allows shoppers to request a price match on items purchased online or in-store until Dec. 24.
Target's Black Friday sale starts in-store and online on Nov. 21. Most stores will open early on Black Friday (Nov. 26) at 7 a.m. local time.
Walmart Black Friday 2021 plans
The Black Friday giant known as Walmart announced that it will keep its stores closed on Thanksgiving Day. However, you can plan to shop online that day.
Walmart announced on Oct. 18 that it will be hosting its second annual Black Friday Deals for Days events in 2021. This means there will be three Black Friday savings events throughout November.
The first: Nov. 3 start online and Nov. 5 start in-store, the second: Nov. 10 start online and Nov. 12 start in-store and the third: Nov. 22 start online, Nov. 27 start in-store.Here, we broke down all the specific hours and further information surrounding Walmart's Black Friday sale.
