Kindle Paperwhite details
The first Kindle Paperwhite released in 2012. It is available with 8GB or 32GB storage. It features a 6" glare-free screen and a 5-LED front light. The Paperwhite has Wi-Fi connectivity and is also available with free cellular connectivity. The Paperwhite is available in four colors: black, twilight blue, sage and plum. According to PCMag, "the waterproof Kindle Paperwhite offers more for your money than any other ebook reader on the market."
Kindle Oasis details
The spiritual successor to the Kindle Paperwhite has been the Kindle Oasis, featuring a 7" glare-free screen Amazon even referred to as a ‘Paperwhite screen.’ It is available with 8GB or 32GB storage. It comes with a 25 LED front light, an adjustable warm light, auto-adjusting light sensors and page turn buttons. The Oasis is available in two colors: graphite or champage gold.
Kindle Unlimited details
Kindle Unlimited is a subscription-based service which enables any reader, through use of any Kindle or any device using the Kindle app, to gain access to ebooks and audio books. Anything in the Kindle library is accessible, with no limitations.
The Kindle Unlimited service currently advertises unlimited reading with over 1 million book titles, current magazine titles and thousands of audio books. The service also includes access to over 500 published works that exist in the public domain, and Amazon has also loaded in free audio book companions for those titles. The service functions much in the way Netflix does, but with Kindle Unlimited a user will download the copy of the digital book directly to their device or app and read from there. This service is vastly different from Prime Reading, which does allow Prime members to access a much smaller library of content.
